UPDATE: Metro is booked (as are most pubs/bars/restaurants at this time of year – I tried about 15!). I’ve managed, with a bit of manipulating, so secure us a table for 20 at Paddington Ale House in Mt Hawthorn (about a 10 minute drive from the centre of Perth)(map)


The table has been reserved in the restaurant area under “Twitter”. The only condition being that we must order food. You have two options – to contribute to a couple of variety platters which will work out to about $10 a head, or, you may order an a la carte meal for yourselves, the menu of which is here.

As for drinks, we are to order them from the bar during the evening.

The year 2009 is rapidly coming to a close and everyone’s calendars are filling up rapidly with functions left right and centre so we felt we’d better try and organise one last big PTUB before the year is over.

Unfortunately it seems that calendars are already getting booked solid and we’re at a loss as to when we should have the last Tweet-up. So the powers that be have decided to let the date for the final PTUB of 2009 to be picked by the people of internets.

Edit: It has been decided! The 18th shall be the night of the PTUB. Make sure you clear your calendars immediately!

On a side note, there will be changes afoot to PTUB. PTUB girl @lu_lu is leaving the country and PTUB boy @grum has decided to pass on the responsibilities of updating the twitter account, blog and facebook pages to someone willing. If you’d like to be that willing person, eMail grum at thatgrumguy@gmail.com.
