The festivities kicked off at 7:30, as we started to assemble in Kimberley’s Dining room at the Paddo. The lovely @miss_yolie had booked us a table and the platters we ordered were sensational.  Some of the non-seafood inclined people ordered their own meals and I am led to believe they were more than satisfactory. Many cool, refreshing beverages were had, and then some more as it was a typically warm Perth Summer’s eve. One such cool beverage didn’t quite get to be enjoyed as it was used to extinguish a flaming napkin.

As late arrivals trickled in, TUBber ranks swelled and spilled out into the neighbouring beer garden. Fun, frivolity and camaraderie continued unabated in the light evening breeze. Plans were hatched and schemes formed (mostly involving textas and party hats). The night rolled on.

At one point in the evening, a general muster was called for all phones of a certain type – owners waited anxiously, some suffering separation anxiety more acutely than others. Luckily for all involved they were returned a few minutes later, unharmed and (apparently) unmolested.

We kicked on, sticking around well after the bulk of the dining room patrons departed.  People moved between the dining room, bar and beer garden, some ‘interesting’ cocktails were created, some new friendships were made and by all accounts everyone had a good time!
