Three lovely young PTUBbers @antzpantz, @jazrusso and @minteva, have superbly suggested that we all get together in early February 2010 to watch the classic 1970’s glam film Rocky Horror Picture Show at Moonlight Cinemas at Kings Park.
If you’ve never seen it, or haven’t seen it in eons, or just want to relive the magic then this is the perfect opportunity to do so while enjoying a Perth summer night under the stars.

PTUB December Wrap-Up

First I’d like to say a thank you to everyone who came to the Paddington Ale House on Friday night. It was a lot of fun and great to meet some new faces too. It’s encouraging for the new members of the PTUB administration to see such a good turn out. Also a thank you goes to @miss_yolie who found a venue for us to gather at on really short notice.
The festivities kicked off at 7:30, as we started to assemble in Kimberley’s Dining room at the Paddo. The lovely @miss_yolie had booked us a table and the platters we ordered were sensational. Some of the non-seafood inclined people ordered their own meals and I am led to believe they were more than satisfactory. Many cool, refreshing beverages were had, and then some more as it was a typically warm Perth Summer’s eve. One such cool beverage didn’t quite get to be enjoyed as it was used to extinguish a flaming napkin.
As late arrivals trickled in, TUBber ranks swelled and spilled out into the neighbouring beer garden. Fun, frivolity and camaraderie continued unabated in the light evening breeze. Plans were hatched and schemes formed (mostly involving textas and party hats). The night rolled on.
At one point in the evening, a general muster was called for all phones of a certain type – owners waited anxiously, some suffering separation anxiety more acutely than others. Luckily for all involved they were returned a few minutes later, unharmed and (apparently) unmolested.
We kicked on, sticking around well after the bulk of the dining room patrons departed. People moved between the dining room, bar and beer garden, some ‘interesting’ cocktails were created, some new friendships were made and by all accounts everyone had a good time!
A warm welcome to our first-timers and occasional PTUBbers, particularly those that made a special effort to get to the Paddo (and those that got lost getting home..), and to all a merry Xmas, safe holiday season and a happy new year! Hope to see you soon!

#MissionMiniTUB – The Christmas Wrap

The busy elves at Mission Australia are hat-deep in wrapping paper and in serious danger of sticky tape poisoning as they prepare for the 34th annual Christmas Lunch in the Park (CLIP).
So we need your help!
@Freocookster is organising two gift wrapping tweet-ups at CLIP headquarters at Leederville TAFE. Bring a gift and come along to help wrap the 1,700-plus presents that will be handed out this Christmas Day.
And you never know, if you’re early you might just get to rub shoulders with some of Perth’s media types!

It’s all about people coming together to enjoy a meal, entertainment and great companionship on Christmas Day – particularly those in our community who may be disadvantaged, lonely and isolated.

What: Bring a gift – we’re short on adult male gifts – and wrap pressies.
